Spring’s abloom in Wilmington, NCPosted on April 1, 2017 in Events
Wilmington, NC is all abloom for the North Carolina Azalea Festival, a tradition since 1948.
The North Carolina Azalea Festival, one of North Carolina’s oldest and biggest events, takes place each April in Wilmington, NC, which is certified by the Azalea Society of America as an official “Azalea City.” Each year, the Festival celebrates the quintessentially Southern flower with a multi-day celebration featuring food, fun, and pageantry at it’s finest, including fireworks shows, parades, and the coronation of Queen Azalea and her court.
A North Carolina fixture for 70 years running, this year’s festival takes place April 5-9. For more information, visit the Festival website at ncazaleafestival.org.
